Athletics and Swimming team departs to Konya for the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games
The first batch of Team maldives’ contingent to the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games has departed to Konya, the host city of the games tonight on 30 July 2022.
The team includes athletes and officials from Athletics and Swimming along with the Chef De Mission of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games Aishath Shifana Wajeeh.
The 2022 Islamic Solidarity Games will be 5th edition of the event scheduled to be held from 9 to 18 August 2022 at Konya, Turkey under the auspices of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF). It will be the first time in history that the event will be organised by the Turkish Olympic Committee.
