Aishath Shabaa Saleem Departs for Greece to Attend IOA Young Olympic Ambassadors Session
Aishath Shabaa Saleem from the Athletics Association of Maldives departed for Greece on 5 June 2026 to participate in the 66th International Session for Young Olympic Ambassadors organized by the International Olympic Academy (IOA).
The session will be held from 6–18 June 2026 and will bring together young representatives nominated by National Olympic Committees from around the world. The programme aims to promote Olympic values, foster intercultural dialogue, and provide participants with an opportunity to engage in discussions on the role of youth within the Olympic Movement.
During the session, participants will attend lectures, workshops, and group discussions covering various aspects of Olympism, sport, education, culture, and international cooperation.
Shabaa was nominated by the Maldives Olympic Committee to represent the Maldives at the session and joins a global network of young ambassadors committed to advancing the ideals of the Olympic Movement within their respective communities.
