Information and Anti-Doping seminar of the Commonwealth and Islamic Solidarity Games
The Information and Anti-Doping seminar of the Commonwealth and Islamic Solidarity Games for the Team Maldives delegation was held last night on 5 July. The session which was held in hybrid format took place at the seminar room of Rasmee Boalhage and via Microsoft Teams so that athletes undergoing training out of Malé could also join the informative seminar. It was attended by athletes and officials from Athletics, Badminton, 3x3 Basketball, Swimming, Table Tennis and Beach Volleyball.
During the seminar, information about Anti-Doping was presented by the Doping Control Officer (DCO) Mr. Mohamed Inash Abdul Latheef, where he highlighted the crucial role of athletes to be well aware about the athletes anti-doping rights and responsibilities.
During the 2 hour informative seminar, general information about both games was presented by the Secretary General of MOC, Thamooh Ahmed Saeed. These include weather, conditions of the Athletes Village, basic rules and regulations, transportation and other logistics of the Games.
In addition, Chef de Mission of the Islamic Solidarity Games Aishath Shifana Wajeeh also delivered specific information about the Islamic Solidarity Games. Similarly specific information about the Commonwealth Games was presented by the Games Chef de Mission Hussain Jawaz.
