British High Commissioner to Maldives, meets with the Team Maldives Contingent participating at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games
British High Commissioner to Maldives, H.E Caron Rohsler and team met with the Maldivian athletes and officials travelling to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The Games which is going to be held from 28 July to 8 August 2022, is represented by Maldives in Athletics (Men and Women), Badminton (Men and Women), Swimming (Men and Women), Table Tennis (Men and Women) and Beach Volleyball (Men).
At the meeting HC Rohsler congratulated the athletes for making the team and wished everyone luck for the Games. HC Rohsler, who is from Birmingham, further explained that the city is known as the Heart of England where everyone would be met with smiling faces.
All athletes introduced themselves and expressed their gratitude for the personal well wishes by HC Rohsler, and for the support by the British government in preparation for the games.
