MOC Leadership Attends 45th OCA General Assembly in Kuwait
President Mohamed Abdul Sattar and Secretary General Thamooh Ahmed Saeed of the Maldives Olympic Committee participated in the 45th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), held on May 11, 2025, at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre in Kuwait City.
Themed “One Asia”, the Assembly brought together delegates from 45 Asian National Olympic Committees along with prominent international sports leaders, including IOC President Thomas Bach and IOC President-elect Kirsty Coventry. The event celebrated Asia’s sporting unity and diversity while reaffirming Kuwait’s role as the “heartbeat” and headquarters of the OCA.
Speakers at the Assembly emphasized Asia’s shared legacy and the importance of collective progress in sport. A vibrant cultural performance highlighted the region’s rich cultural mosaic, featuring artists from across Asia.
