Aishath Mauva from table tennis Completes International Coaching Course in Hungary

The Maldives Olympic Committee is pleased to announce that Aishath Mauva has successfully completed the International Coaching Course at the Hungarian University of Sports Science, a globally recognised programme aimed at developing skilled and knowledgeable coaches for the international sporting community.

Held from 1 October to 21 November 2025, the intensive course provided advanced theoretical and practical training across key areas of sports coaching. Participants engaged in modules covering training methodology, sport-specific planning, performance analysis, athlete development, sports psychology, and modern coaching practices. The programme also offered hands-on learning opportunities guided by experienced international lecturers and specialists.

Mauva’s successful completion of this course marks a significant milestone for the Maldives as the nation continues to strengthen its coaching structure and broaden professional expertise within the sporting sector. Her training is expected to make a direct and meaningful impact on Table tennis. The specialised coaching methods, athlete‑centred approaches, and technical insights gained through the programme will contribute to strengthening grassroots development, improving training structures, and enhancing the competitive readiness of Maldivian table tennis athletes. Her expertise will also support the long‑term goal of creating a more systematic pathway for young players and developing qualified coaching capacity within the sport.
