Productive Dialogue Between Maldives Olympic Committee and French Embassy Ensures Support for Paris 2024
In a significant step towards ensuring smooth participation in the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics, the Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC) held a fruitful conversation with representatives from the French Embassy. The discussions focused on the preparations and logistical requirements for the Maldivian contingent.
During the meeting, Thamooh Ahmed Saeed, Secretary General of the MOC, provided a comprehensive briefing on the current status and readiness of the Maldives' athletes and support team. He highlighted the key milestones achieved and outlined the remaining steps needed to ensure a successful participation in the Games.
Ms. Elizebeth Tesson, French Consul, expressed strong support for the Maldivian delegation. She assured the MOC that the French Embassy, in collaboration with the Paris 2024 Organising Committee, would facilitate the visa process for the Maldivian contingent. Ms. Tesson emphasized that her team is committed to working closely with the MOC to address any challenges and ensure that all necessary arrangements are made efficiently.
