IOC Immersion Stay Programme 2025
The Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC) nominated Operations Executive Mr. Ibrahim Shifaz to participate in the IOC Immersion Stay Programme for NOCs, held from 24 November to 5 December 2025 at the Olympic House in Lausanne. The programme offers selected NOC staff the opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to IOC operations, strengthen technical competencies, and engage in structured peer-learning with IOC departments.
During the two-week immersion, Mr. Shifaz took part in joint learning sessions, individual technical meetings, and focused work periods covering key areas such as IOC governance, Olympic Solidarity, Games preparation, safeguarding, sustainability, digital engagement, and athlete support. He also presented an overview of the MOC, highlighting its structure, activities, and development priorities.
In addition to group sessions, Mr. Shifaz attended tailored peer-learning meetings related to governance, finance, and NOC management, supporting his operational responsibilities within the Committee. The programme further provided opportunities to build connections with IOC staff and NOC representatives from other regions, complemented by visits to the Olympic Museum, the Olympic Studies Centre, and ANOC Headquarters.
