One of the most popular sports in the world, basketballers pass and dribble the ball up the court and shoot or dunk the ball into the hoop. The sport is traditionally played by teams of 5. 12 teams split into 3 groups for round- robin group stage, with the top 8 teams progressing to knockout quarterfinals. In 3x3 all 8 teams play each other in the pool phase, with the top 2 teams advancing to the semi-finals, while teams 3-6 playoff to join them in the semis. The winner is the team with the most points at the end of the game. In 3x3 a team also wins if they reach 21 before the 10-minute timer is up.
