Mohamed Abdul Sattar Re-elected as the President of Maldives Olympic Committee

Mohamed Abdul Sattar has been re-elected as the President of the Maldives Olympic Committee for the 2025–2029 term, following an uncontested election held during the Extraordinary General Assembly on 2 June 2025.

The assembly took place at H. Meerumaa and was attended by representatives from 14 member associations. The Badminton Association of Maldives did not participate due to its current suspension from the Badminton World Federation (BWF), while the Football Association of Maldives participated in the assembly as an observer. The Athlete Commission was also represented through its designated athlete delegate.

As the sole candidate for the presidency, Sattar was elected without opposition, marking the beginning of his second term as President of the Maldives Olympic Committee.
