6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 Chef de Mission Seminar
Vice President of the Maldives Olympic Committee, Mr. Munthaqim, together with Chef de Mission for the 6th Asian Beach Games, Mr. Aushan, is currently attending the Chef de Mission Seminar in Sanya, China. The seminar brings together representatives from National Olympic Committees across Asia to review preparations for the upcoming Games, scheduled to take place from 22 to 30 April 2026.
Hosted by the Sanya Asian Beach Games Organising Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), the seminar provides participating nations with essential updates on venue readiness, accommodation plans, transportation systems, accreditation procedures, and competition operations. Delegates are briefed on the 14 sports and 63 medal events that will form the programme of the 6th Asian Beach Games, as well as the Games’ overall concept, athlete services, and logistical arrangements.
The event also offers an opportunity for NOCs to engage directly with organisers to clarify operational details, address delegation-specific needs, and ensure smooth coordination leading up to the Games. For the Maldives, participation in this seminar is a key step in preparing Team Maldives for successful involvement in Sanya 2026, ensuring that athletes and officials have the necessary support, information, and planning to perform at their best.
