As part of the preparations for the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, an Anti-Doping Education and Learning (ADEL) certification session was conducted for athletes and officials preparing to represent the Maldives at the Games.

Athletes and officials from chess and pool billiards participated in the session, which provided them with the necessary guidance and support to complete the relevant ADEL learning modules and certification requirements before their participation in the Games.

The session also aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of their anti-doping responsibilities and the importance of upholding the principles of clean, fair and ethical sport. Completion of the ADEL certification ensures that athletes and officials are better informed about anti-doping requirements and their respective roles in protecting the integrity of sport.

The session was conducted in collaboration with the Maldives National Anti-Doping Agency (MANADA).

The 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games are scheduled to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 13 to 21 December 2026.
