CPTM Sports Enterprise Leads Strategic Stakeholder Meetings to Advance Maldives Sports Development
CPTM Sports Enterprise, led by Dr. Mathew J. Robinson and Mr. Steven Mark Roush, recently spearheaded a series of strategic stakeholder meetings and workshops in the Maldives to advance sports development. Key entities, including the Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, National Sports Council, Commissioner of Sport, and Maldives Olympic Committee, actively participated. The discussions focused on current programs, challenges, future goals, and infrastructure developments, with a commitment to elevating sports in the Maldives.
The second workshop engaged community sports enthusiasts and National Sports Associations (NSAs) to assess the current state of sports and explore potential solutions. This session aimed to foster improved sports development nationwide.
In the third session, the CPTM team inspected key sports venues like the Ekuveni sports complex and Galolhu National Football Stadium. Productive meetings with stakeholders, including the Maldives National Institute of Sports and Housing Development Corporation, focused on exploring cooperation and facility enhancements.
In a significant milestone, the team also held a promising meeting with the US Ambassador, marking a crucial step in international collaboration to elevate Maldives sports globally.
Concluding the series, CPTM engaged with various key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Tourism, and regional stakeholders in HDh Kulhudhuhfushi. The workshops provided a platform for in-depth discussions on sports development, education, and rehabilitation.
The wrap-up meeting, attended by Honorable Abdulla Rafiu, Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, and other dignitaries, highlighted the active involvement of all stakeholders. The CPTM team expressed gratitude and reiterated their dedication to advancing the Maldives' sports agenda through sustained collaboration and partnerships across various sectors.
