Information Session Held for Asian Youth Games 2025 Delegation
A vital information session for the Maldives delegation participating in the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 was successfully held on Thursday, 9 October, providing athletes and officials with essential guidance ahead of their participation in the Games in Bahrain.
The session was led by Chef de Mission Murushidha Abdul Mannan and covered key operational and logistical areas to ensure the delegation is well-prepared for travel, accommodation, competition, and overall conduct during the Games period. Athletes and team officials were briefed on important matters including travel arrangements, arrival and departure procedures, accommodation details, competition schedules, and accreditation processes.
Presentations also highlighted important information about the host country, Bahrain, including weather conditions, time differences, local customs, currency, electricity standards, and general etiquette. Guidance was provided on health and safety, medical services, anti-doping awareness, and the importance of adhering to Games regulations and branding guidelines.
The Maldives delegation will consist of 56 athletes and 34 officials, representing the nation across multiple sports including athletics, badminton, basketball 3x3, beach volleyball, swimming, handball, and table tennis.
The session served as an important platform to ensure all participants are informed, organised, and aligned with the operational requirements of the Asian Youth Games 2025.
