Meeting with the Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment
June 14, Male Maldives: The Management of Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC) meets with the Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Honorable Ahmed Mahloof.
The purpose of the meeting, was to discuss about the final preparations for the XXII Commonwealth Games scheduled from 28 July to 8 August at Birmingham, England and the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games scheduled from 9-18 August 2022 at Konya, Turkey.
Additionally during the meeting, pre-games training of both Games were also discussed. It is expected that, athletes will be reporting for the pre-games training two weeks ahead of the Games opening ceremony.
At the meeting, Minister offered full support and coordination for the final preparations, and commended on the efforts of MOC for the measures taken to prepare teams for the above mentioned Games.
