Maldives Olympic Committee Meets with Badminton World Federation to Discuss Sport Development
A productive meeting was held between the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and the Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC), marking an important step in strengthening cooperation for the advancement of badminton in the Maldives.
During the meeting, the BWF’s Legal Director met with MOC President Mr. Mohamed Abdul Sattar to discuss key areas related to the governance, growth, and long-term development of the sport within the country. The discussion focused on enhancing organisational structures, supporting athlete pathways, and ensuring alignment with international standards and best practices.
Both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering a strong and sustainable future for badminton in the Maldives. The engagement also highlighted opportunities for improved collaboration, capacity-building initiatives, and potential programmes that would benefit athletes, coaches, and administrators across the national badminton landscape.
