Remaining Executive Committee seats secured at the Extra-Ordinary General Assembly (EOGA) held today was by Badminton Association of Maldives, Maldives Basketball Association, Maldives Surfing Association, Table Tennis Association of Maldives, Tennis Association of Maldives and Volleyball Association of Maldives for Olympic Sports and Maldives Body Building Association of Maldives, Maldives Chess Association and Netball Association of Maldives for Non-Olympic Sports.
Holding the elections was met with many complications for MOC due to the state of emergency and conflicts among the members, despite the date of election being approved by an Extra-Ordinary General Assembly held on the 25th of March, after a constitutional amendment was approved. The committee sought recommendations from IOC on the constitutional amendment, which affirmed the term of the Executive Committee will be 04 years.
The appointment of Secretary General and Financial Director will take place soon afterwards it is decided and approved by the new Executive Committee members.
