MOC Athletes’ Commission Organises Inaugural Blood Donation Camp
Demonstrating leadership beyond the field of play, the Athletes’ Commission of the Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC) successfully organised its first-ever Blood Donation Camp, in collaboration with Maldivian Blood Services.
The initiative marked an important milestone for the Athletes’ Commission, reflecting its expanding role in promoting social responsibility, community engagement, and the core values of the Olympic Movement. Through this activity, athletes reaffirmed their commitment not only to sporting excellence but also to contributing meaningfully to national wellbeing.
The blood donation camp saw participation from athletes, officials, and members of the sporting community, all coming together in support of a life-saving cause. By mobilising the sports fraternity for voluntary blood donation, the Commission set a positive example of service, solidarity, and civic responsibility.
The MOC extends its sincere appreciation to Maldivian Blood Services for their collaboration and professional support in facilitating the camp. Gratitude is also conveyed to everyone who generously donated and contributed to the success of this inaugural initiative.
