CGA Maldives meets with Commonwealth Games Federation
CGA Maldives Secretary General Thamooh Ahmed Saeed met with Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) President Dame Louise Martin and CEO Ms. Katie Sadleir in Pall Mall, London, on November 18, 2021.
During the meeting the Secretary General congratulated the new CEO of CGF Ms. Katie Sadleir on her appointment.
The Secretary General also expressed gratitude for CGF’s long standing, continuous assistance to Maldivian athletes.
Discussions during the meeting, held as part of the initiative of CGA Maldives to secure training for local athletes, included matters concerning athlete training and Maldives' participation at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The 2022 Games will mark a new beginning for Maldivian athletes participating in the Commonwealth Games since rejoining the Federation in 2020.
