Athletics, Beach Volleyball, Swimming and Table Tennis teams departs to Birmingham
Athletics, Beach Volleyball, Swimming and Table Tennis teams representing Team Maldives have left to Birmingham tonight. President of the Commonwealth Games Association Mr. Mohamed Abdul Sattar saw the Team Maldives contingent off at Velaana International Airport.
Along with the athletes, the General Team Manager Ms. Aminath Nashida, Medical Team, Mr. Abdulla Rafiu and Ms. Lubana Shah, Mr. Azzam Ali Fulhu the Press Attaché and MOC administrative staff Mr. Ibrahim Shifaz are expected to arrive in Birmingham on 22 July 2022 morning.
They would be welcomed by MOC Secretary General Mr. Thamooh Ahmed Saeed, Chef de Mission, Mr. Hussain Javaz and MOC administrative staff Ms. Mariyam Shaufa.
Maldivian High Commissioner HE Dr. Farah Faizal along with a team from the Maldivian High Commission is also expected to join in welcoming the contingent.
