Appointment of Medical Officials and Media Officials for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games

Maldives Olympic Committee appoints Medical Officials and Media Officials for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Monday 11 April 2022, Abdulla Rafiu and Lubana Shah has been appointed as the medical officials for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games scheduled from, 28 July to 8 August 2022. At any games, the medical team plays a key role, and the experienced appointed officials will lead on all medical services for Team Maldives. The appointed medical officials have prior experience with major international tournaments, elite athletes, and travelling with teams to support their performance. Their main responsibility will be to help athletes reach and maintain their peak performance. Further appointments to Team Maldives for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, include the appointment of Azzam Ali Fulhu as the Press Attaché. Azzam will be responsible for media relations, which includes providing the best possible profile and exposure of the Team Maldives, events, and the athletes. Azzam has previously collaborated with MOC as an media official, during the 2016 and 2019 South Asian Games. Birmingham 2022 will create a myriad of memorable moments, from records being broken to the highs and lows of athletes competing across a number of events. The role of a Press Attaché is crucial for reporting on the Games to provide the best and most accurate information promptly.
