It was a privilege for Maldives to welcome the Queen’s Baton Relay of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. After spending quiet an exciting few days in the Maldives, the Queen’s Baton has departed to Sri Lanka early today morning.
During the official 2 days the Queen’s Baton was in the Maldives, it travelled to Haa Alifu and Haa Dhaalu Atoll, engaging in a number of sports activities with the involvement of kids, youth, and the community.
MOC/CGA Maldives is truly grateful to the people of Haa Dhaalu Nolhivaranfaru, Haa Dhaalu Nolhivaram, and Haa Alifu Dhihdhoo for giving the Queen’s Baton a warm welcome from the Maldives. We also humbly thank the CGF and the QBR team for giving us the opportunity to host the event, and for continually assisting us through the journey.
