After taking office on the 11 July 2021, the new Executive committee of MOC held its first Executive Committee meeting today on - 12 July 2021.
The meeting, which was attended by all elected 13 members, was held at MOC’s office and via online.
During the meeting the members unanimously appointed Mr. Thamooh Ahmed Saeed as the Secretary General and Mr. Hussain Rasheed as the Financial Director to the committee.
Mr. Thamooh has an impressive sports background. He was a former table tennis player and represented Maldives at various international competitions as an athlete. Mr. Thamooh also filled the post of the General Secretary of Table Tennis Association of Maldives (TTAM) from 2009 - 2011. Currently he is the appointed MOC member to the National Sports Council. Before being appointed as the Director General in June 2020, he worked as the Program Coordinator since he joined MOC in February 2015.
Mr. Hussain Rasheed, also a former table tennis player, has served as the Treasure of MOC for the past 3 terms. He brings to the table the long experience and his expertise which all members believed would benefit the committee.
MOC congratulates the new Secretary General and Financial Director, and hope work in coordination with its members to improve the administration of MOC with the new change.
